Marcus
Originally from the Fens of Lincolnshire, Marcus has had a deep love for Deptford since moving to South London when he was just 17, and has been an active member of the community, involved in various local businesses such as the Waiting Room, The Full Nelson, and The Commando Temple, as well as founding Kids Love Ink back in 2006. He was taught to tattoo by Kids Love Ink OG Charlie Shazer, back in 2001, and has spent the last twenty years mastering his craft, taking on work in all tattoo styles.
His favourite styles to tattoo are traditional and Japanese, done in his trademark bold colourful style, as well as specialising in black and grey portraits, and custom lettering. His work also takes influence from his love of wrestling, punk rock, and comic art as well as more traditional tattoo sources. Keeping up a love and respect for the traditional roots of tattooing, he enjoys painting water colour tattoo flash, and is also a skilled sign writer, hand painting lettering on anything from leather jackets to shop windows.
Marcus keeps a very active lifestyle up outside of work, being a black belted Judo instructor, personal trainer, and professional wrestler when he’s not out and about with his French bulldogs Mucky and Biggie.
