Twist
Our resident Frenchman, Twist began tattooing way back in 1999, in the South of France, moving around various cities as he honed his craft, before moving to Asia where he spent two and half years working in Kathmandu. On top of this he managed to find time to work guest spots and conventions in India and Thailand, as well as Nepal.
In 2012 he moved to the UK and worked at a couple of different tattoo studios in London before fate brought him to our sister studio Kids Love Ink East in Shoreditch where he met Don. Kids Love ink East sadly closed its doors a number of years ago, but fortunately for us, that led to Twist joining us in Deptford full time in 2020.
Twist’s time in Asia is evident in his work, he has a deep knowledge of Thai and Tibetan symbology, and enjoys working on ornamental dot work designs, and dark graphic imagery. Other influences range from graphic novels to street art, and the work of artists such as Thomas Thomas, Xed le Head, and Thomas Hooper amongst many others. Decades of experience have made Twist a skilled artist in all styles, and he’s happy to take on any job, large or small.
Also a keen musician, outside of tattooing you’ll likely find him tinkering with all manner of musical and electrical equipment, restoring guitars as well as creating beautiful custom builds from scratch.
